Self Hypnosis and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Hypnosis is a very powerful and effective therapy, but I also believe that it is important and empowering to teach you how to use some powerful techniques that will be of help to you in the future.

Self Hypnosis
 

You leave your hypnotherapy appointments feeling very relaxed and much calmer, so allowing yourself 10-15 minutes every day to practice self hypnosis will help you to loosen up and let go of all that stress and tension.

 

The big difference is that you induce the hypnotic trance yourself by slowly counting down from one to ten and on the out breath between each number saying to yourself ‘twice as deeply relaxed’.

 

So all you need to do is find somewhere comfortable and quiet where you can relax and not be disturbed.  Settle down and count yourself down into relaxation.  Once you are fully relaxed you can give yourself positive suggestions or take yourself somewhere peaceful to rest and heal.

 

During your hypnotherapy session, I will take you through a session of self-hypnosis so that you can learn how to do it and how it feels.  You will be given a full set of printed instructions to take away with you and I will also give you instructions for self hypnosis during your session when you are in the hypnotic trance.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
 
 

Also known as ‘tapping’, EFT is another powerful tool you can use to help you release any negative beliefs or emotions that maybe holding you back from living the life you truly deserve. EFT can help relieve anxiety, stress, phobias, addictive behaviours and cravings, and in many cases the benefits can be felt very rapidly.

 

EFT was developed by Gary Craig in the 1990s and is a healing modality that works by tapping on the meridian points which are just below the surface of the skin. It is similar to acupuncture but uses gentle tapping of the fingers rather than needles. Tapping works by releasing any blockages in your energy system which has led to feelings of stress, discomfort and anxiety.

 

Basic EFT is easy to learn and can be used anywhere. I will take you through the basic sequence during your hypnotherapy session and you will also receive a full set of printed instructions, including a diagram of the tapping points.
